Privacy Policy

Overview

The Whatnot Live Sold Items extension ("the Extension") is a browser tool that displays sold items from Whatnot live streams. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is used.

Data We Do Not Collect

The Extension does not:

• Collect any personally identifiable information
• Transmit any data to external servers or third parties
• Track your browsing history or activity
• Use analytics or advertising services
• Store data outside of your local browser

How the Extension Works

When you visit a Whatnot live stream page, the Extension makes a request to Whatnot's own GraphQL API — the same API Whatnot's website uses — using your existing logged-in session. This request fetches the list of sold items for that stream. No data from this request is sent anywhere other than your browser.

Local Storage

The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to save one piece of information locally: the list of order IDs you have marked as "opened." This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is never transmitted to any server
• Can be cleared at any time by removing the Extension

Permissions Used

• activeTab — to communicate with the Whatnot stream tab you are currently viewing
• tabs — to locate open Whatnot stream tabs when using popout mode
• scripting — to inject scripts into Whatnot pages so authenticated API calls can be made using your existing session
• storage — to save which orders you have marked as opened, locally in your browser
• https://www.whatnot.com/* — the Extension only operates on Whatnot.com pages

Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates only with whatnot.com — the site you are already logged into and actively using. It does not communicate with any other third-party service.

Children's Privacy

This Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
